Transición, violencia y movimiento social: conceptualización y visibilidad de la violencia doméstica en Uruguay 1984-1995

This paper analyzes the transformations of the interpretative framework with respect to violence, within the Women and Feminist Movement of Uruguay between 1984 and 1995. The research seeks to account for the process of construction of the category of domestic violence and its relationship with the disputes of sense about democracy, through the analysis of the press of the time -particularly the feminist press-. The results confirm that the conceptualization, visibility and concretion of the first tools for dealing with domestic violence are the result of a sustained work of the Women and Feminist Movement of Uruguay.El presente trabajo analiza las transformaciones del marco interpretativo respecto a la violencia, dentro del Movimiento de mujeres y feminista del Uruguay entre 1984 y 1995. La investigación busca dar cuenta del proceso de construcción de la categoría de violencia doméstica y su relación con las disputas de sentido sobre la democracia, a través del análisis de prensa de época -particularmente de la prensa feminista-. Los resultados permiten afirman que la conceptualización, visibilización y concreción de las primeras herramientas para el abordaje de la violencia doméstica son fruto de un trabajo sostenido del Movimiento de mujeres y feminista del Uruguay

Descripción del manejo sanitario y productivo de la granja porcina DUEP-UNA - Santa Rosa

El trabajo de pasantía se realizó en la unidad de producción porcina DUEP-UNA. En la finca Santa Rosa –FACA; en el periodo de febrero a julio del 2020. El objetivo fue describir el sistema de manejo sanitario y productivo en la unidad de producción-académica porcina, llevando a cabo registros sanitarios para disminuir patologías y casos de mortalidad en pre-destete, para obtener mejores resultados en la salud y bienestar animal, mejorando su productividad. Con el seguimiento de los planes de registros sanitarios se logró disminuir los casos de diarrea y otras patologías que afectan la salud porcina. La mortalidad pre-destete que se presentó en esta unidad de producción fue del 7%, la cual está entre los parámetros normales. La mortalidad de cerdas gestante fue baja (dos reproductoras) marcada por problemas exógenos (picadura de víbora) y patologías cardiacas. Se adquirió mejores conocimientos técnico-prácticos en el manejo general; sanitario productivo y reproductivo en la DUEP-UNA-SANTA ROSA, al igual que habilidades, conocimientos y destrezas técnicas y prácticas sanitarias y productivas en el manejo del hato porcino

NUESTROS HOMBRES: PATRIA Y RELIGIÓN. LA MASCULINIDAD CATÓLICA EN EL URUGUAY DURANTE EL PRIMER TERCIO DEL SIGLO XX

The first third of the 20th century in Uruguay is a period of changes that will give rise transformations from legislation to the moral order. Among them, they stand out for the controversy raised at the time, the complete secularization of the State and the divorce legislation. At that juncture, feminism emerged as a political culture in the country and the various anti-feminist reactions were shaped. Following the usual techniques in historical research, in this article I propose to identify the predominant values and beliefs of Catholic men in their relationship with women and the changes in gender roles that were fostered in the period. For this, I will mainly use the analysis of the Catholic and conservative press, whose articles will guide me on the characteristics of Catholic masculinity.El primer tercio del siglo xx en Uruguay es un período de cambios ferméntales que darán lugar a diversas transformaciones manifiestas desde la legislación hasta el orden moral. Entre ellas, destacan por la polémica suscitada en la época, la completa secularización del Estado y la legislación divorcista. En esa coyuntura, emergió el feminismo como cultura política en el país y se conformaron las diversas reacciones antifeministas. Siguiendo las técnicas habituales en la investigación histórica, en este artículo me propongo identificar los valores y creencias predominantes de los varones católicos en su relación con las mujeres y los cambios en los roles de género que se propiciaron en el período. Para ello me serviré fundamentalmente del análisis de la prensa católica y conservadora, cuyos artículos me guiarán sobre las características de la masculinidad católica

“Ni muertes ni palizas, las mujeres se organizan”. Visibilización y penalización de la violencia doméstica en Uruguay 1984-1995

Esta investigación analizará la incidencia del movimiento de mujeres y feminista, del Estado uruguayo y de las organizaciones internacionales en la construcción de la violencia doméstica como un problema político/público en el Uruguay. El período estudiado se extiende desde 1984 hasta 1995. Inicia en el momento en que aparecen los primeros reclamos vinculados a la temática hasta el año en que se aprueba la Ley n° 16.707, que modifica e introduce el delito de violencia doméstica en el Código Penal uruguayo. A través del análisis de documentos producidos por el movimiento social, de la documentación oficial y de entrevistas semiestructuradas se identificarán componentes, modos de acción y demandas del movimiento de mujeres y feministauruguayo; articulando las formas de relacionamiento entre organizaciones pioneras en la temática —Instituto Mujer y Sociedad, SOS Mujer, Casa de la Mujer de la Unión, Centro de Asistencia de la Mujer Maltratada, Mujer Ahora—con el proceder político de los representantes legislativos y de las organizaciones internacionales que tomaron posición sobre la temática durante el período estudiado

FEMINISMO Y AUTONOMISMO: A TREINTA AÑOS DE LA COMISARÍA DE LA MUJER EN URUGUAY

From a gender history perspective, the actions of the State and the Women and Feminist Movement of Uruguay are taken into account, including the weight of the regional and international conjuncture. Through the analysis of primary sources, such as the feminist press of the time, I analyzed the transformations of the interpretative framework of the Movement of Women and Feminists of Uruguay between 1984 and 1988 related to «violence against women». The investigation traced the construction process of the domestic violence category, its problematization and transformation of private matter to political/public problem that demands the action of the State; whose first milestone was the creation of the Women’s Police Station, the second of its kind in all of South America. It was concluded that the creation of the Women’s Police Station due to special boost women’s movement and feminist in the exercise of their autonomy and synergy between a favorable international situation and the need to re-legitimization of the Uruguayan State.Desde una perspectiva de historia de género se aborda el accionar del Estado y del movimiento de mujeres y feminista del Uruguay teniendo en cuenta el peso de la coyuntura regional e internacional. A través del análisis de fuentes primarias, como la prensa feminista de época, analicé las transformaciones del marco interpretativo del movimiento de mujeres y feminista del Uruguay entre 1984 y 1988 relativas a la «violencia contra las mujeres». La investigación rastreó el proceso de construcción de la categoría violencia doméstica, su problematización y transformación de asunto privado a problema político/público que reclama la acción del Estado, cuyo primer mojón fue la creación de la Comisaría de la Mujer, segunda en su tipo en toda Sudamérica. Se concluyó que la creación de la Comisaría de la Mujer obedece al especial impulso del Movimiento de mujeres y feminista en el ejercicio de su autonomía y la sinergia entre una coyuntura internacional favorable y la necesidad de relegitimación del Estado uruguayo

Sexual Harassment in a Higher Education Institution

Sexual harassment is a type of gender violence, which is generally naturalized and rarely reported. The aim of this qualitative study was to analyze the experiences of female university students who have been victims of sexual harassment. The intentional sample consisted of 10 participants between the ages of 22 and 24 years from a university in the southeast of Mexico. Interviews were analyzed through different categories, such as the perception of the interviewee, about the harassment, the consequences, and facing the event. The analysis was based on the QSR 6 (NVivo) software. It was found that students perceive harassment as something normal and even romantic, but subsequently there are feelings of humiliation and guilt. Those who reported the incident did not obtain help, in all of them there was a feeling of learned helplessness. In addition, harasser professors have a special language to communicate when they want sexual favors: "you have to take an equivalence test”, language that the students know and understand

Construcción de una herramienta observacional para evaluar las conductas prosociales en las clases de educación física

This study describes the construction and validation of an original, "ad hoc" taxonomic system that allows the pro-social behav io u rs produced during compulsory secon dary sch ool physical education classes to be observed. Such behaviours are related to the development of positive values. Technically, the tool combines field format systems and E/ME category systems, which have been developed from a deductive perspective under the theoretical framework of Kohlberg's development of moral reasoning. The tool's optimisation process includes monitoring and analysing the quality of the data and focuses on consensus-based concordance and the analysis of the generalisabil ity theory, which yielded good results
